A new round type frame with a rounded lens top compared to the Boston shape of ELIOT (TY100). The frame itself is slim and has a plain impression with reduced edges, making it easy to coordinate with sports and fashion for both men and women. The nose width is also the narrowest of all models, so it fits easily even for those with a low nose bridge. The frame is tortoiseshell, and the lens is a photochromic lens that changes brightness depending on the amount of UV rays.

■ Photochromic lenses

Photochromic lenses are lenses whose brightness changes depending on the amount of UV rays. When exposed to strong UV rays outdoors, the lenses darken, and when exposed to weak UV rays indoors, they brighten. They are made of polycarbonate, which is extremely shatter-resistant (it is more than 30 times stronger than acrylic). Even if they do break, they are not easily shattered.

It is so safe that it is even used in airplane window glass, and has the highest impact resistance of any plastic material. It is difficult to shatter even when hit with a hammer, and is sometimes used as a bulletproof material.

■Frame & flexible temple arm

The frame is made of TR-90, a material developed by EMS of Switzerland. It is lightweight, has high spring and memory properties, and is heat- and moisture-resistant.
Another feature is that they are resistant to deterioration and have a long lifespan. The temple arms of TYMER products have a built-in wire frame in the part that goes over the ear (the temples), and the shape can be changed by heating it and slowly applying pressure. The temples have a large impact on comfort and fit, so they are designed to be adjusted to the optimal shape for each individual.

■ Nose pad

TPR is used for the nose pads that come into contact with the skin.
The TPR material has rubber-like properties and is oil- and weather-resistant, providing a comfortable fit that is gentle on the skin and excellent grip for active use.
