Willy "uppercut" O'shea was born in Ireland in 1915. When his father, who worked at a car manufacturing plant, died at a young age in an accident at work, he was taken in by his uncle, a trader, but at the age of 15 he ran away on a trading ship and worked as a coal miner in Sydney. After that, he became a major professional boxer and toured all over Australia for several decades. It was Willy's strength that led to the nickname "uppercut."

Those were not easy times due to the Great Depression. However, even in those times, Willy valued elegance and always carried a tie and homemade pomade in his bag. UPPERCUT DELUXE is the place where the philosophy and soul of the late owner's grandfather, Willy, resides.
