The original design for this logo, BITCH, was based on the logo of a legendary "BEEF" brand. When GIRL SKATEBOARDS was launched in 1992, the riders incurred the wrath of the presidents of the brands they had previously belonged to, who countered GIRL with the name BITCH.

Soon after, a major Japanese company signed a licensing agreement for BITCH, leading to a massive expansion in Japan that even saw portable ashtrays sold in convenience stores!

Following this history, the logo design is a BACANCES-style sampled expression of the slang term "BAD BITCH," which is used in today's HIP HOP and REGGAE circles to praise "cool women who are independent, confident, and stick to their own style without caring what others think."
