■ Product details

The exquisite shape, a cross between Boston and Wellington, is simple yet modern. The exquisite size makes this model suitable for both men and women of all styles.

High strength

Polycarbonate is characterized by its resistance to breaking (its strength is more than 30 times that of acrylic). Even if it does break, it is not easily shattered. It is so safe that it is even used for airplane window glass, so it is often used for sports glasses and goggles, and it has the highest level of impact resistance of any plastic material. It is difficult to break even when hit with a hammer, and is sometimes used as a bulletproof material.

・High transparency

The visible light transmittance is 80-90%, which is as transparent as glass, so you can see through polycarbonate without any problems.

-Excellent weather resistance

Polycarbonate has excellent weather resistance and is suitable for outdoor use. It is also used in products that are used outdoors for long periods of time, such as high-quality clothes pegs.

■ Lenses

TYMER sunglasses lenses use CR-39. CR-39 is an abbreviation for "Columbia Resin #39" and is an optical plastic with extremely high optical performance developed by the Columbia Resin Project in 1940. It is made of a material called allyl diglycol carbonate (ADC) and was originally created for airplane fuel tanks. It is very light, impact resistant, and difficult to break. It is a lens with high transparency and excellent optical performance. Due to its thermosetting properties and little distortion during formation, it is used for eyeglass lenses, polarized lenses, camera lenses, and optical lenses.

■Frame & flexible temple arm

The frame material is TR-90, developed by EMS of Switzerland. It is lightweight, has high springiness and memory, and is heat-resistant and moisture-resistant. It is also resistant to deterioration and has a long lifespan. It is also used in medical catheters and baby bottles, and is a highly safe material that has passed the Food Sanitation Law. The temple arms of TYMER products have a built-in wire frame in the part that goes over the ear (the temple), and the shape can be changed by heating it and slowly applying pressure. The temples have a large impact on the comfort and fit of the glasses, so they are designed to be changed to the optimal shape for each individual.

In addition, by inserting a wire frame in the nose and temple arm sections, fine adjustments are possible, and despite being a lightweight injection frame, it is designed to fit the different head shapes of each individual.
