There have been many innovative shoes in the history of Gravis, but perhaps the one that remains most vividly etched in the memories of longtime fans is the waxed canvas FILTER. At a time when skate shoes typically consisted of sturdy, grippy suede as their primary material, the idea of using elaborate wax-coated canvas was astonishing, and every time I looked down at my feet, I was thrilled by the special presence that no other skate shoe had. The FILTER WAX CANVAS, a symbol of Gravis Skateboarding, is finally making a comeback.

The upper is made of highly abrasion-resistant wax canvas, with a reinforced fabric underneath for a three-layer design that's tough. The outsole also uses a unique rubber blend that's more abrasion-resistant than regular rubber. The tongue stabilizer provides support even during tough riding. The functionality has been proven through repeated riding tests by riders.
