During World War II, undershirts were provided as part of the uniforms issued to the US military, and were divided into sleeveless tank tops for summer, long-sleeved wool-cotton blends for winter, and short-sleeved cotton for all occasions. As daily wear, undershirts must be comfortable to wear and of a quality that can withstand frequent washing. This undershirt is softly knitted using No. 20 combed yarn, and is knitted with twin needles from the shoulders to the sleeves and hem for comfort and durability. The nostalgic packaging is reminiscent of the government-issued items of the time.
