About "Small Wheels ~Skateboarding is wonderful~"
The short story collection "Small Wheels", a revised version of all 10 stories from the one-shot novel "Skateboarding is Wonderful", which was serialized in "HIDDEN CHAMPION" from issue 60 to 69, is finally going on sale.
Born in Hayama, Kanagawa Prefecture, he skateboards around Yokosuka US military base, Shonan, Yokohama, and Tokyo, and portrays the real life story of young people growing from teenagers to adults in the 90s. Skateboards, gals, clubs, gals, alcohol, gals... but skateboarding is the best!!
This is the second collection of short stories about youth by author Yanagimachi Yui, whose youth has been complicated by skateboarding for over 30 years.
As a special supplement, it also includes a conversation with fellow professional skater, Okada Susumu, who is writing the novel "Glasses, Otaku, and Skateboarding."

Author of the novel "Small Wheels": Yu Yanagimachi
He discovered skateboarding in 1986 and began his career as an AJSA certified professional in 1993. However, in 1995, he got hooked on club culture and nightlife and dropped out of professional skateboarding. In 1999, he started writing as an editor for the skateboarding magazine WHEEL magazine. For the next 30 years, he has worked as a writer for specialized magazines, fashion magazines, culture magazines, real estate sites, etc., calling himself a "contemporary skateboarder", "impressionist skateboarder", and "skateboard consultant". Since 2012, he has run his own brand "SNAKE'S PORNO WHEEL", which he renamed "BACANCES ALL INCLUSIVE" in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is still active at the bottom of the Japanese skateboarding scene.
