Can the deck fold?
If you are new to skating, you may not think that a hard deck can break, but decks do.
In fact, regardless of whether it's new or old, the deck can break depending on where you ride. The most common pattern is that it breaks around the base of the truck, but it can also break in the middle depending on how it lands.
In recent years, press technology has improved, making it less likely to break, but since it is made of wood, it will inevitably break.
