introducing : LURPIV TRUCK COMPANY

The long-awaited Japanese release date was recently announced. LURPIV TRUCK. I'd like to build a test ride vehicle and write a review right away.

First of all, before that, For those who are not familiar with LURPIV TRUCK, let me give a brief explanation.

LURPIV TRUCK COMPAN Y >

LURPIV is a brand new track brand launched in 2024 by Swedish pro skater OSKER ROZENBERG, who is active in NIKE SB and POLAR SKATE CO. It seems that existing tracks could not cope with his style, which covers everything from transition to street.

The vehicle height is slightly higher than the INDY and ACE, so it is less likely to bite even with large diameter wheels, and has better turning performance. The shaft position is designed to be narrow, so the tail hit is very light despite the high vehicle height. It is said to be characterized by its light weight, which is on par with existing truck brands.

design

My first impression after assembling it was that it looked very neat. Usually, hangers are designed to be thick to reinforce the shaft curvature. LURPIV seems to be quite confident in their shaft structure, so they are thin. The INDY 109 T-HUNGER is the most similar.

The top of the hanger is very rounded, so the grind will flow well. The kingpin is hidden, so there's no need to worry about it getting caught.

How is the performance?

First of all, in terms of turning performance, when I rode it, it seemed to turn better than the INDY and ACE. Of course, it's the tallest so it's obvious that it turns, but it can turn quite deeply. The setting is based on the OSKI image with 60mm hard wheels, but without the riser pads and with a loose setting, the wheels do bite. If you tighten it a little, it's not a problem.

Street skaters who often use 51-54mm wheels will have no problem. Surprisingly, the tail hit is light. The wheelbase is narrow, similar to the INDY and ACE, so it seems like it will be able to move quickly despite the vehicle height.

In addition, it bends well, but still maintains its center position. Perhaps it's because of the rubber bushing's good resilience, but it returns to its original position easily even when bent deeply.

With the proliferation of various truck brands, this truck was released with specs that seem quite easy to use. I think this truck brand fits well with the current skate style that requires all-round skills.
