How long does a wheel last?
Share
Following on from `` When is it time to replace the deck? '' and `` When is the lifespan of a truck? '', today I would like to write about the ``lifespan of wheels.''
The more you run, the fewer wheels you have.
The wheels are made of urethane material. Regardless of whether you are using regular wheels or cruiser wheels, the more you run, the more it will decrease.
Look at the photo above. This is the one I use, and you can see that the surface of the wheel is becoming uneven.
This is commonly called "punk." If you do too many movements that scrape the ground, such as tricks or power slides, you will get a flat tire like this. High-quality urethane wheels such as SPITFIRE's "FORMULA4" (commonly known as F4) and BONES' "STF" are resistant to punctures, but they will definitely get punctures someday.
It's still a mild puncture, but the ride becomes less comfortable. It's about time to change my wheels.
Even if you don't have a flat tire, it's a good idea to change wheels that have become smaller due to excessive riding. The timing of tail hit depends on the vehicle height. If you get used to the ride height of wheels that are too small, the "timing" you have cultivated will be off when you get new wheels.
Be sure to replace your wheels before they become completely flat, punctures become noticeable, or become extremely small.
Isn't it best to change the position about once every three months?
