What is curve wax?

Today I would like to write about wax, a must-have item for skaters. This is one of the items you always want to have when skating.

I'm sure some of you are curious about it, as it is something that is always available at skate shops. The "curve trick" is the second most popular skateboard trick after the flip trick, which involves rotating the deck.

This trick involves grinding and sliding a truck or deck part onto a curb, box, or rail. "Curve wax" is always needed at that time. By rubbing it against the object to be slid, frictional resistance is eliminated and the object can be slid smoothly.

When I first started skating, I didn't know about the existence of wax and would try to grind against a curb that was completely non-slip and get blown away.

Once you can do an ollie, why not practice a curve trick with a piece of wax?

It is featured on the NO.1 skateboarding HOW TO video site "NOLLIE SKATEBOARDING" along with a video about "curve tricks". Please take a look at this as well!
