クルーザーとは何か?

What is a cruiser?

I think I mentioned earlier that there are three main ways to build skateboards.

It is a cruiser for general tricks, a cruiser for transportation, and a cruiser that is in between.

This time, I would like to talk about cruisers for transportation, which are in demand by a wide range of people, regardless of gender.

What is a cruiser?

A cruiser specializing in the comfort of movement. Basically , it uses a short deck, making it easy to turn and convenient to carry .

You can view the cruiser decks handled by Prime here .

When viewed from the side, the track position (wheel base) is closer to each other due to the short length of the deck. This improves turn performance and allows for quicker movement than normal decks .

I get the impression that many trucks use INDEPENDENT, which has a high vehicle height and is good at loose movements. A higher ride height allows you to fit larger diameter wheels and increase speed .

Unlike trick bikes, cruisers are all about ride comfort. It is more comfortable to use good parts for wheels and bearings.

The best wheels are between 55mm and 62mm. The larger the diameter, the faster the speed and the ability to handle rougher surfaces.

Bearings will depend on your budget, but we recommend ones in the 4,000 to 8,000 yen range. It is completed as a leg for transportation similar to a bicycle.

As I briefly explained, a cruiser is a skateboard specialized for movement, which is the exact opposite of a trick board. Although it cannot perform tricks, it can be a useful vehicle that can travel several stations depending on the setting.

After practicing a lot and being able to move around comfortably while drinking beer, I became addicted to skateboarding.
